Dr. Robert (Bob) Balzer joined Teknowledge as its Chief Technical Officer and head of its Distributed Systems Program in July of 2000. After several years at the Rand Corporation, Dr. Balzer co-founded the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute (which now has a staff of approximately 300). Balzer was Professor of Computer Science at USC and Director of ISI's Software Sciences Division. He has served as Chairman or Co-chair of numerous key national and international software engineering and artificial intelligence conferences. Balzer was elected a Fellow of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence in 1993.

Allan Terry - Director of Knowledge Systems

In his more than twenty five years at Teknowledge, Allan has had an exceptionally broad range of responsibilities and duties. He currently leads efforts to apply Artificial Intelligence techniques to solving real-world problems for government and commercial customers. He has had responsibility for advanced personalization and knowledge-based web interaction products, including Sales Associate, a product whose creation he spearheaded. He has been senior knowledge engineer and project leader for many expert-system efforts such as an order-configuration assistant for a major computer manufacturer, a trouble-shooting system for fiberglass production, and an audit planning system for a major accounting firm. Allan has been product manager and technical lead for Teknowledge's M.4 expert-system tool product and for Enterprise/Dx, an expert-system product specialized for solving diagnosis problems. As a program manager and principal scientist, he has initiated and led numerous government and commercial research and development activities, specializing in diagnosis and configuration. Allan holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Applied Math from Univ. California, Berkeley, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Information and Computer Science from U.C., Irvine.

Kevin White - Director of Financial Solutions Integration Services

Kevin is committed to excellence in software integration services to ensure customer success. He has experience in hands-on technical and executive leadership with a track record of successful products and services applications, and a strong focus on engineering reliable, scalable, and robust systems. Kevin has been associated with Teknowledge for the past 4 years as a contractor working on projects for Adhesion Technologies, Bank of Bermuda, Fiserv, Pacific Capital, and Wells Fargo. Prior to joining Teknowledge, Kevin was President of Innovius, Inc. and had done extensive consulting in large-scale database architecture designs and web infrastructures. Kevin has also held positions as Chief Data Architect and Project Manger of Web Development at eBalance, Inc., Chief Data Architect and Director of Electronic Commerce at Waltrip and Associates, and as a Computer Science Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Kevin holds a B.S. in Computer Science Math/Science with a Minor in Mathematics from California State University, Chico and a M.S. in Computer Science and a Certificate in Computer Simulation from California State University, Chico. Kevin also received an Oracle Master Certificate from Oracle in 1998.

Neil Jacobstein - Chairman of the Board

Mr. Jacobstein served as President and Chief Operating Officer and a director of the Company since January 1993. He was elected to the position of Chairman and CEO on November 22, 1999. After joining Teknowledge in 1984, Mr. Jacobstein was promoted over a nine year period to: Senior Knowledge Engineer, Manager of the Research and Advanced Development Group, Vice President and General Manager of Research and Advanced Systems Development, and Vice President and General Manager of the Knowledge Systems Division. He ran Teknowledge's only profitable division for 8 years, prior to turning around the Company and making it profitable in 1994. Mr. Jacobstein initiated Teknowledge's eCommerce business unit in 1996. In 1998, he was appointed to the Technology Advisory Board of the U.S. Army's Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM). Prior to joining Teknowledge, he was a Graduate Research Intern and consultant at Xerox PARC, and a Research Associate at CBNS. Mr. Jacobstein received his BS in Environmental Science Summa cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin, and an MS in Human Ecology from the University of Texas, in conjunction with NASA's Environmental Physiology Simulation Program. Since 1992, he has served as the Chairman of the board of directors of the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing, a nonprofit organization. In 1999, Mr. Jacobstein was elected a Henry Crown Fellow in the Aspen Institute's executive leadership program.

Dr. Larry E. Druffel

Dr. Druffel is President and Director of the South Carolina Research Authority, Chairman of the Board of the Advanced Technology Institute, and a member of the Board of the South Carolina Technology Alliance, all private, non-profit corporations. He was a director of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University from 1986 to 1996. Dr. Druffel has served as the Director of Computer Software and Systems, Office of Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Advanced Technology. He holds a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of London. Larry has been a Teknowledge director since 1997.

Irwin T. Roth

Mr. Roth was elected to the Board of Directors in May, 2005. Mr. Roth fills the vacancy created by the departure of Mr. Lustig in April, 2005. Irwin Roth is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of V Entertainment, Ltd, On-Line Entertainment Network, Inc., and Color Q, Inc. He is a Director of Com-Guard, Inc. In past years, he has served as a director and officer of numerous companies. Mr. Roth has been a practicing attorney for over 45 years in New York City, where he specializes in securities and entertainment law. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science in 1952, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1955 from the University of Michigan.
